Mining is a feature which was implemented in alpha 7, and is planned to be significantly expanded in alpha 8[1]. The player is able to designate underground tunnels and areas that the worker will then mine out. Mining will yield stone blocks that can be used in the construction of buildings, roads, or used by the mason to construct many items and decorations. The addition of mining is adding two new vision modes, X-ray mode & Slice mode ,in game to allow for viewing underground constructions.
